About Epicwayz Advisors

Epicwayz Advisors is a boutique, CPA led fractional CFO and advisory firm serving small and middle market companies. We do not believe in producing reports for the sake of producing reports. We believe in helping business owners understand what their numbers actually mean and using that clarity to make sharper decisions.

Our founder brings over 20 years of corporate finance experience across Big Four, consumer products, and private equity backed distribution companies, and built this firm to bring that same level of financial rigor directly to founders and owners who do not have a full-time CFO on staff.

We are growing quickly, and this role is designed for someone who wants to grow with us.

This is a boutique firm growing fast and currently serving lower middle market businesses in CPG, Retail, Logistic and Distribution space which means your role will not stay fixed in one lane. Some weeks you are deep in a client model, other weeks you may be supporting business development, representing the firm at networking events, or helping with other client engagement work as it comes up. You should not need a fixed job description to feel comfortable. If you need every task defined in advance and get uneasy when priorities shift, this is not the right fit. The right person here is energized by variety and understands that supporting a growing firm sometimes means wearing whatever hat the day requires.

What this is not

This is not a routine bookkeeping position. If you want a job where you close a checklist and go home  without thinking about the business behind the numbers, this is not for you.

This is not a role where someone hands you a template and you fill in cells. You will be expected to question  the numbers, not just report them.

What you will do

Financial modeling and forecasting

  • Build and maintain financial models across multiple client engagements
  • Update forecasts, scenarios, and cash flow projections
  • Improve model structure, assumptions, and clarity as clients grow

Business and financial analysis

  • Analyze revenue, margins, expenses, and operating trends
  • Turn raw data into clear, actionable recommendations for clients
  • Support pricing, profitability, and product level analysis

Quality review and process support

  • Review work completed by our extended delivery team, including tax preparation output, checking for  accuracy and asking questions when something looks off
  • Help develop and refine templates, checklists, and reporting workflows across clients

Client engagement and exposure

  • Join client calls and financial reviews as you grow into the role
  • Support business owners and leadership teams directly, not just produce reports for them Represent the firm at networking events and support business development as needed

Why this opportunity stands out

This is not a role where you update the same template every month and move on. You will work across multiple industries and real operating businesses, which means constant exposure to different problems rather than one repeated process.

  • You will be asked to think critically, not just execute. Owners are relying on your judgment, not just your formulas.
  • You will work closely with a CFO who has sat inside Big Four, corporate, and private equity backed companies, and you will absorb that thinking directly rather than through a training manual. Your growth here is not capped by a rigid title ladder. As the firm grows, your scope and responsibility are expected to grow with it.
  • This role is a deliberate steppingstone toward a client facing leadership track, including an eventual path toward a fractional CFO role of your own.

Who you are

  • You likely have one to three years of experience in FP&A, accounting, audit, or a related analytical role You have a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and how financial statements connect You are advanced in Excel and comfortable building models from scratch
  • You can work independently with minimal hand holding once given direction
  • You are curious, direct, and comfortable pushing back when something does not add up

Growth path

This role is intentionally structured to grow with you. Over time, this position is meant to develop into a  strategic finance leader who works closely with clients, and eventually into a fractional CFO role of your own  within the firm.
